Therapy investment
You are WORTH it.
PAYMENT OPTIONS:
I offer a variety of payment options and provide limited billing services for my therapy clients.
IN-NETWORK INSURANCE:
I am in network with the following insurance companies:
*PacificSource Commercial
*Providence
I am not in network with OHP or Medicare plans at this time.
Billing in network means that patients pay their copay or coinsurance the day of each session, and I bill your insurance for the rest.
OUT OF NETWORK INSURANCE:
Billing out of network means patients pay the full fee upfront, and superbills are provided for patients to submit to their insurance carrier themselves. Support and guidance on this process are available to ensure that it is as simple as possible. Find more info on this process below in the FAQs.
PRIVATE PAY:
Private pay means patients pay the full fee at the time of service and will not seek insurance reimbursement.
I have limited availability for discounted rates. Please reach out to discuss further.
MY FEES:
$200 for the first session (about 90 minutes)
All other sessions:
$160 (approx. 55 minutes)
$135 (approx. 45 minutes)
Investment FAQs
-
Many insurance companies provide some out-of-network reimbursement.
You would pay my full fee at the time of service, and then I can provide you with a superbill (receipt) which you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement on a portion of the cost of our sessions. I cannot guarantee reimbursement and ultimately you are responsible for the full cost of the session regardless of your insurance company’s payment. You may contact your insurance company to determine what the out of network reimbursement rates on your plan are.
-
To find out if you have out of network coverage, I recommend you contact your insurance company and ask the following questions:
Does my plan include out-of-network benefits for outpatient behavioral or mental health services?
Is there a deductible I have to meet before you start to reimburse me?
How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?
What percentage of the fee am I expected to cover?
Do I need a referral or preauthorization to receive therapy services?
Are the following CPT codes for psychotherapy sessions covered:
90791 (initial diagnostic evaluation session)
90837 (53 minute individual therapy session)
90834 (45 minute individual therapy session)
Are telehealth therapy services covered?
How do I submit superbills for reimbursement? (Often this can be done via their website. You can also enlist the help of a service such as Thrizer.)

Many people choose to not use insurance to pay for therapy. Some benefits to paying for therapy yourself are:
Best fit
When you pay out of pocket you can choose the therapist you want to work with and are not limited by a small pool of in-network providers. If your insurance ever changes, you get to stay with your therapist.
Privacy
Self pay offers increased privacy of your health information. Insurance companies require certain diagnoses and may request access to your records at any time.
Flexibility/Best care
You have more say around what you work on, how long sessions are, and how long you stay in therapy. You pay for what you value, and you are not at the mercy of the insurance company’s values.
Results
Research shows that clients who choose to pay something for their treatment have more positive outcomes than those who receive treatment for free.
Regardless of how you choose to pay for therapy, you are worth the investment!
